late for meeting
The companion piece to the 2011 short film entitled "going to the store" which featured a silly, disjointed journey through Sunset park in the tradition of Dadaism and surreal humor in film.

Directed by friend and colleague David Lewandowski -- I created the sound design and did a bit of composing for this short film.

Interview on TRASH_AUDIO. Trash debuted our alternate 'late for meeting' mix which features the sound design, sans-funky muzak. Funny? Terrifying? A pleasurable blend.

My composing consisted of the music playing in the grocery store early in the short. Here's a 40 second ring-tone version of the piece. It's downloadable, so get on that. May it give you déjà vu.

Here are some screen shots of my sound design sessions. These are general overviews:
1. The spatial reverberation of the grocery store foosteps
2. The car-heavy scenes
3. The filtered free-way car effects specifically.

The audio in the "intersection scene" was a really fun opportunity to obsess over minutia. The music alone -- I wanted the score to emit from car stereo speakers, through the windows of a spinning, up-side down car, while moving down the street. Below are screen shots of the steps I took to get there.
